Business still feeling after-effects

A business mentoring company has seen a 44 percent increase in work and chief executive Ray Scholfield says in a recession issues are often far more complex

It seems small and medium size businesses are still struggling with the after-effects of the recession.

Business Mentors New Zealand is reporting a 44 percent increase in the amount of work with its members this year compared with the previous year.

Chief executive Ray Scholfield says many business owners have never experienced an economic environment like the current climate.

He says the number of issues, challenges and opportunities have required a lot more time devoted to them.

Mr Scholfield says in dealing with a recession, such issues are often far more complex.
